I offer drawing, cartooning, watercolor and oil painting instruction to everyone. I teach afterschool and lunchtime programs. I am a Bob Ross Certified Instructor since 1988. And I teach via Zoom . I am dedicated to helping everyone to de-stress, to be creative, and to have fun !

I was honored to receive this award for my teaching activities from NY State Senator George Latimer. He presented it to me at the Larchmont Library

I was invited by an NBC producer. I had a wonderful time teaching Kathy Lee and Hoda how to paint a landscape. This was my second visit. My first opportunity was on location at Borders Books in Eastchester. The staff and producers were very kind, and we had a great time!
WHERE I HAVE TAUGHT PAST AND PRESENT
I am BOCES listed and fingerprinted. Over the years I have taught countless numbers of kids at many schools and locations. Each school was and is wonderful in its own way. From kindergarten to middle school, I enjoyed opening up the imaginations of the children. Many are surprised to see what they can create. What remains constant is the energy and vibrancy they bring with them. This of course is a source of youthful energy for me which imbues my teaching.
I am passionate about art and committed to helping my students reach their full potential. I provide personalized instruction and guidance to help each adult or child achieve. At first, many feel they have little artistic ability and are self defeating. Practice opens the door. And in my class judgements are gently constructive with a focus on what's most important... the student's contribution to their personal growth....... dedication and practice!
Along with my children's classes I instruct adults. I offer adults either privately or corporately, an opportunity to de-stress with art. It's especially important for adults to have a creative outlet considering how stressful life can be. Art will make you forget your problems. I will help you relax. And whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, I have a subject that will challenge, destress and inspire you. Contact me to discuss.
Nothing compares to teaching drawing and painting to my students. I began teaching 30 years ago and every single day I am grateful to have enlightened my students to the visual wonders of nature. And for me, teaching after school and lunchtime programs, has enriched my love of teaching even more.

Eastchester Library Painting
I was asked to create a bright, joyous painting celebrating the Friends of the Library Book Sale. The painting eventually became imprinted on Eastchester's Library cards

For many years I painted cartoon characters at the bottom of Lake Isle's children's pools. I was also asked to paint 2 murals for the Lake Isle Caterers in Eastchester.
